The Brake Cooling Ducts for the BMW G8X platform are designed to improve airflow management around the brake assemblies, with the dual aim of increasing cooling efficiency and controlling the buildup of turbulent air within the wheel wells during sustained high-performance use.
The system comprises optimized front cooling covers and dedicated ducting elements for both the front and rear axle. At the front, revised duct covers permit unobstructed airflow to the brake area while incorporating integrated filtration to reduce the ingress of debris into the wheel housing. Supplementary ducting is mounted to the lower control arms, directing airflow across the rotor surface while simultaneously promoting the evacuation of turbulent air from the front wheel well.
At the rear, compact ducting is positioned along the traction links to support airflow across the brake assembly and assist in clearing high-energy air from the enclosed rear wheel area. All components are designed to integrate with the factory geometry and mounting points, and function in conjunction with existing airflow paths and suspension articulation.
