The Oil Cooler Guard was developed to protect the front-mounted oil cooler from mechanical damage during operation. Positioned in a high-exposure area beneath the vehicle, the cooler is subject to impact from debris and contact with the driving surface.
The guard provides coverage without interfering with surrounding systems or serviceability. It is designed to operate without affecting the function or airflow characteristics of the existing cooling system. Integration is based on existing structural provisions.
The guard is constructed from stainless steel, selected for its corrosion resistance and durability in exposed environments. It is mounted beneath the oil cooler and follows the existing geometry to provide coverage without obstructing flow.
The design maintains the factory air curtain, preserving the low-pressure zone beneath the cooler used to assist in the evacuation of hot air from the radiator. The system integrates with the existing underbody layout and does not require modification to adjacent components.
